Kids are born connected–they are perfect beings. At birth they begin interpreting and placing meaning onto their environment. Through this interpretation they either decide to make choices in Truth or distortion. When they choose distortion they disconnect. Through this interpretation of and placing meaning onto situations and experiences, children define their experiences (all experiences) with language and particular words and phrases that match what they perceive whether in Truth or distortion. Once meaning is projected by the child onto the experience, whether in Truth or distortion, emotion follows, supporting the child’s meaning placed onto the experience whether in Truth or distortion. Once interpretations and emotions are chosen by the child, behaviors follow. Behaviors chosen by the child create outcomes, which outcomes create new experiences. Connection is only attained when children choose to make choices in Truth (honest, responsible, and humble), rather than distortion.
